Center for Cardiac Research (CECARE)

CECARE initiativ:

The groups headed by Professor Ole M. Sejersted and Professor Geir Christensen are currently involved in an application to the Norwegian Research Council for status as Center of Excellence. In case of such funding a Center for Cardiac Research (CECARE) will be formed. This center will also comprise members from the groups headed by Professors Otto A. Smiseth and Lars Gullestad (OUH Rikshopitalet), Finn Olav Levy (Dept of Pharmacology, UiO) and Torbjørn Omland (AHUS).

CECARE will focus on mechanisms for transition from risk factors to established heart failure with a broad translational approach.
