K.G. Jebsen Centre for Cardiac Research

The K.G. Jebsen Centre for Cardiac Research is established by a generous gift from Stiftelsen Kristian Gerhard Jebsen.

The main aim of K.G. Jebsen Centre for Cardiac Research is to identify key factors responsible for diastolic dysfunction.

K.G. Jebsen Centre for Cardiac Research is directed by Professor Ivar Sjaastad. The centre comprises six research groups at University of Oslo; of which three are located at Ullevål Hospital (Christensen, Louch and Sjaastad), two at Rikshospitalet (Edvardsen and Gullestad) and one at Radiumhospitalet (Raiborg).

Reasearchers at our institute have received generous donations from Nasjonalforeningen for postdocs, PhD students and running costs.

The Simon Fougner Hartmanns Familefond supports scientific equipment for medical research.

We have received generous grants for advanced research equipment required for excellent research.

Novo Nordisk Foundation

Research funding from the Novo Nordisk Foundation

The Novo Nordisk Foundation awards grants for projects based on applications it receives in open competition and for projects for which the Foundation takes the initiative. The aim is to improve people’s lives by improving health, education and developing a knowledge-based, sustainable society.

Anders Jahres fond til vitenskapens fremme

Anders Jahres Fund for the promotion of science supports excellent basic and clinical science. Since the 1950′, we have annually received important grants from the fund.

The founder, Anders Jahre, gave an important contribution when the institute was established in 1951.

According to Gerd Meidel Raagholt’s will, the Foundation’s objective is to make funds available for research relating to the blind, heart diseases and cancer.

We have received important support for running cost over the years.

The university is one of our two main contributors, funding positions, infrastructure, running costs and administrative support.

Helse Sør-Øst RHF

Research funding from South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.

South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst RHF) supports health research in the region.

Together with Oslo University Hospital, Helse Sør-Øst is one of our main contributors. They offer both generous grants and infrastructure.

 

Oslo University Hospital

Research funding from Oslo University Hospital.

Oslo University Hospital is a highly specialised hospital in charge of extensive regional and local hospital assignments and the provision of high quality services for the citizens of Oslo. The hospital also has a nationwide responsibility for a number of national and multi-regional assignments and has several national centres of competence.

Oslo University Hospital in close collaboration with Helse Sør-Øst, is a very important contributor to the institute. They fund infrastructure, positions, running costs and research infrastructure, and give us administrative support.
